We are currently seeking to hire postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors and senior faculty.
Center for Intelligence Economic Science (iES) at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) has a diverse mixture of Chinese and international faculty members specialising in theoretical, experimental and empirical research with a broad focus on making use of intelligence economic science to bring together behavioral economics and finance, neuroscience, psychology, and the social sciences besides research involving AI. We provide a bilingual work environment. The language of instruction can be in English.
Our faculty members have published in well-regarded journals such as Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, Management Science, Theoretical Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Journal, Quantitative Economics, AEJ: Microeconomics, International Economic Review, Economic Theory, European Economic Review, PNAS, PRSB, Psychoneuroendocrinology, and Scientific Reports.
We invite applications for postdoctoral fellows, and a faculty positions at all levels whose research is in the area of experimental economics or finance, behavioural economics, decision theory or other closely related areas. We encourage applications from those who will complete their PhD by fall 2026 or already in Postdoc or other similar situations. Candidates should demonstrate potential for publication at well-regarded journals. Compensation and working conditions, including access to ample research funds and lab facilities, are competitive by regional standards.
