BEIJING – June 7, 2025 – Professor Chew Soo Hong delivered a keynote address at the 2025 World Meeting of the Economic Science Association (ESA), held June 6–8 at Renmin University of China.
The conference was hosted by the School of Economics, Renmin University of China, and brought together more than 200 scholars from around the world for comprehensive and in-depth discussions on behavioral and experimental economics.
Professor Chew’s keynote, titled "Regret, Salience, and Correlation: Evidence and Theory," offered a game-theoretic perspective on decision-making under uncertainty. Drawing on rigorous mathematical models, he provided three distinct explanations for the well-known Allais Paradox — a classic violation of expected utility theory.

The presentation underscored Professor Chew’s enduring influence in behavioral economics.
